Beyond the bridge, nearly 1,000 North Carolina Patriots waited quietly with cannons and muskets poised to fire. This battle marked the last broadsword charge by Scottish Highlanders and the first significant victory for the Patriots in the American Revolution.Located in rural North Carolina, the Moores Creek National Battlefield welcomes a diverse range of guests, yet the park maintains a quiet and reflective atmosphere. Created solely for the National Park Service, this new map is not for sale to the general public. It will be used by park rangers to guide guests through the troop movements and strategy that determined a Patriot victory.
